Restoration Project

Before

Portland General Electric contracted Tree Care & Landscapes Unlimited to re-establish a small creek and landscaped area at Government Camp, OR. This site was previously a diesel powered generation plant to provide emergency power for the area. The US Forest Service required PGE to restore the area to the original conditions when the site was no longer to be used by PGE.

Tree Care & Landscapes Unlimited carefully matched the site to the surrounding forested area using native plants. The creek was enhanced so that its potential for ecological diversity as well as controlling the estimated flows to prevent scour and washout.
